BSN In 10?

I think now was a tenuous time to do this. I think it could have been done better and more efficiently. “Strong Arming” people into a BSN isn’t the optimal root. I’m an ADN grad who is finishing a MSN in nursing education. I am all for increased education and progressing the profession, however, we can’t do that in a way that deprecates such a large portion of the profession that is not initially prepared at the baccalaureate level.

I think states making mandates such as this should be bound to increase access to affordable and convenient degree completion programs, whether that be with assistance in paying for the schooling or ensuring R.N. to BSN programs are accessible in various forms to nurses in their state.

I think it would be great if NY state, like some other states, establishes and promotes the community college bachelors degree in critical fields such as IT, Nursing, and education. This would ensure that more people have access to the opportunity to become a nurse.

For information about how to obtain your BSN, consider checking it my school, Western Governors University. It’s affordable, award winning, Non-for-profits and fully accredited.
