Nursing Outside of the Box

It's officially the year of the world health organizations international year of the nurse and the midwife! 100 years ago, the ”roaring ’20s” was known by some as a time social change, jazz, the Harlem Renaissance, and progressiveness. Drawing inspiration from the 1920s now is the time to demonstrate to the world, what we nurses have always known, that we are so much more than what we seem. It's time to ”color outside the lines”! Let's make 2020 the year for nurses to more frequently ”forget their place” by embracing and innovating unique ways to use our role and knowledge. 

During this year, let's have conversations that lead to actions and change, both big and small.  Let's collaborate and create more. Let’s remember the countless nurses of the past who've helped propel the profession and practice of nursing forward. Let's build new things, create new ways of thinking, and make new connections this year! Let’s showcase our ability to be creative problem solution makers.
