Some Recommended Reading and Reference Materials for all: swipe left! ⁣

1. Pocket Guide for ECGs Made Easy: This boom is a very easy read. Provides very concise and need to know info. Think it works best if you you have. Baseline underdog the heart and ECGs. Only 99 pages. Doesn’t take up much space, very slim. Includes basic pictures. Written by a nurse. Used  as a frequent reference for me and the @thebossrn #Mattersoftheheart educational blog series.

2. ECG Interpretation Made Incredibly East! Pocket Guide, 3rd Edition: another small Terence, though a little thicker than the previously mentioned book. Goes into a little more detail about ECG concepts like pacemakers and their modes (I love that section). Includes detailed picture and drawings. Written by an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Very easy to understand for anyone, even with 0 ECG knowledge. Used  as a frequent reference for me and the @thebossrn #Mattersoftheheart educational blog series.

3. Tarascon Pocket Pharmacopeia, 2012 Classic for Nurses: They Adult only came out with 2 nursing specific editions in 2012 and 2013. There’s a regular edition for medical providers (MD/DO/PA). Provides a very quick and portable reference for drugs and important nursing implications. May not be as useful for some, if you prefer apps like Epocrates or Medscape, but it is specified to nursing and cheaper than Epocrates premium. Only has limited info and meds since it’s so small! Have used this religiously since nursing school! Written by PhD nurses. Small writing, you will need your glasses, 😂. There are small pocket boom editions in large print available, if I’m not mistaken. ⁣

4. Tarascon Hospital Medicine Pocketbook: Aimed at providers and medical/PA/NP students, but a great resource for me as a float Pool and travel nurse. Gives you a quick overview of disease processes I’m not familiar with, including the typical treatment plan, what orders I should expect and such. I honestly have treasured this since becoming a float Pool Nurse that floats to multiple specialties. (Cont......) #nursing #medicine #respiratorytherapy #RN #MD #DO #RRT #LPN
